Use our guides to prepare questions and plans, then confirm the details that matter for your particular journey.

1. Our role

Visit-Nagaland.com is an independent information and directory platform operated by Lendlink Tech Private Limited. We do not act as the government, an emergency response centre or the supplier of every listed tourism service. Our content is general travel information, not an individual assessment of a traveller, an activity or a route.

A guide can help you understand a place, but it cannot establish current access, personal suitability or safety in every circumstance. We remain responsible for correcting material errors brought to our attention and for the obligations that apply to our own services.

2. Permits and permissions

Confirm the requirements relevant to your nationality, purpose, destination and travel dates through the responsible official channels. Requirements for entry, protected or restricted areas, specific activities, photography, drones, filming and access to community-managed places can differ.

A listing, article, itinerary or provider statement is not a permit. An operator’s willingness to take a booking does not replace a permission required by law or by the relevant landowner or community. Do not rely on an old screenshot where a current official notice is available.

3. Roads, weather and seasonal access

Travel times can change with rain, landslides, road works, traffic, closures and local conditions. A road that appears connected on a map may not be suitable for your vehicle or open on your travel date. Build flexibility into an itinerary and obtain local advice close to departure.

A “best time to visit” recommendation describes a general pattern, not a forecast or a guarantee. Seasonal conditions, daylight and the availability of transport and guides should be considered together. Do not travel past a closure or community restriction because an online route appears shorter.

4. Trekking and outdoor activities

Discuss the route, difficulty, guide arrangements, weather, equipment, communications, return plan and emergency procedure with the responsible operator. Match the activity to the group’s ability and the conditions. A photograph or a short distance does not establish that a route is easy.

Remote areas may have limited mobile coverage, road access or medical facilities. Tell a trusted person your plan where appropriate and avoid relying solely on a phone battery or an online map. Follow guide, conservation and local authority instructions.

5. Health, food and personal needs

Consider altitude, walking conditions, weather exposure, food allergies, dietary needs, medication and any personal health concern when selecting an activity or stay. Speak with an appropriate qualified professional where you need individual medical advice.

Ask food providers about ingredients and preparation if an allergy or dietary restriction matters. A cuisine description, photograph or business category does not confirm allergen controls, hygiene inspection or suitability for every traveller.

6. Choosing accommodation and services

Confirm the actual room or service, occupancy, bathroom arrangements, check-in times, power or water limitations, accessibility, cancellation terms and total price before paying. For transport, clarify vehicle type, route, driver arrangements, waiting charges, fuel, tolls and what happens if the itinerary changes.

Keep the provider’s written confirmation and payment receipt. Independently verify a suspicious change in payment instructions. No directory listing entitles a person to demand your payment PIN, one-time password or unnecessary identity documents.

7. Maps and nearby results

Nearby distances are approximate straight-line measurements between the selected point and eligible listing coordinates. They are not driving distances, walking distances, travel times or evidence that a safe route exists.

An approved business pin is intended to help identify an arrival or meeting point. Confirm the entrance and approach with the provider, particularly in a village, hilly area or a location with several access points. An external map can have its own inaccuracies.

8. Culture, privacy and photography

Ask before photographing people, entering homes, attending private ceremonies or recording performances. Respect local instructions on dress, sacred places, community spaces and photography. A public festival does not make every individual or private gathering available for unrestricted commercial photography.

Do not publish sensitive personal information or location details that could expose someone to harm. Purchase and use locally made products respectfully, and avoid misrepresenting a community’s identity or traditions for publicity.

9. Environment and community interests

Use appropriate local services where practical, minimise litter, carry back waste where required and follow rules on fire, camping, wildlife and restricted habitats. Do not disturb wildlife for a photograph or collect plants, artefacts or other protected material.

Community decisions about access, conservation and conduct take priority over a visitor’s preferred itinerary. Seek permission for activities on private or community-managed land and pay legitimate, clearly explained access charges through the appropriate channel.

10. Incidents and corrections

For immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency services, authority or your responsible operator. Our website contact channels are not continuously monitored emergency dispatch channels. Do not wait for an editorial reply before seeking urgent help.

After an incident, you can report inaccurate information or a serious listing concern through our contact page. Include the relevant page, date and verifiable details without exposing another person’s private information. We can review platform content; we cannot replace the investigation or powers of the competent authority.

Read our Terms and Conditions for platform use and Contact, Support and Complaints for non-emergency reporting.
